Why do some of us are so afraid of dying? Been asking this question when I was 18. And someone have asked me this when I was already working. I think I was already 25 back then. Still this question was also asked by some friends when I was already a mother of 2. My answer to this question varies as I age. Back when I was young, I was afraid of dying because of the notion that death is always painful. What an innocent view of death back then. When I was in college, I was afraid of dying young because I wanted to enjoy life more. Such a selfish motive. When I was already working, I was afraid of dying because I wanted to do more for myself and for my parents, my family. Atleast, I am making more sense now huh. But when I became a mother, my view about life and death changed. I treasured life more fragile than anything. And the more I realized that I became more afraid of dying...not because I still have so much to learn, earn, do, you name it, the list could just go on. But believe me, I am so afraid of dying because of my daughters, and the people that I will be leaving behind. It is no longer for myself or my selfish unmet expectation, but because I pity my family, especially my daughters. They're too young to be motherless. Just thinking of this made my eyes wet with tears. I am just thankful that when my father passed away, we were all responsible adults (me and my younger brother). But still our father were only "ours for a while" but he is now God's forever.🙏 PS sorry for this early drama. I just couldn't help but miss my father more. Malapit na naman ang Father's Day. 💚 #Life
