Bridges play an important role in modern architecture and urban development and are one of the most widely used means of communication.
Here are the most longest bridges in the world.

1- Danyang Kanshan Bridge:

The Danyang Kanshan Bridge, located in China, is the longest bridge in the world at 1.164 km. The bridge connects the two cities of Shanghai and Nanjing in China, and is in fact a railway bridge that crosses the Beijing-Shanghai Express Railway. The bridge, which opened in June 2011, has since been named the world's longest bridge in the Guinness Book of World Records.

2- Hong Kong-Zhou Bridge :

The bridge and the road that connects it to the road have a total length of 55 km and connect Hong Kong to the Macao Peninsula and the city of Johai in China. The bridge is designed to withstand earthquakes and storms, and about 400,000 tons of steel have been used to build it; With this amount of steel, 60 Eiffel towers can be built.
About 30 km of the bridge over the water passes in the South Sea in the Pearl River Delta (Pearl), 7 km of which is a tunnel that is built under water and is connected to the bridge by two artificial islands.

3- Beijing Grand Bridge:

The Beijing Grand Bridge, more than 48 kilometers long, like most of the world's longest bridges, is part of the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, which opened in 2010.

4- New Ulyanovsk Bridge:

The bridge also spans the Volga River in Russia to connect the city of Ulyanovsk to the east of Ulyanovsk Oblast. The 19.98 km long bridge is the second longest bridge in Russia and one of the longest bridges in Europe.

5- Penang Bridge:

If it were not for this bridge, you would never have been able to get from Malaysia to the beautiful island of Penang by road. This bridge has two round-trip routes and in a part of it, there is a special place for tolls from passing vehicles. At 13.5 km long, it is the longest bridge in Malaysia and the fourth longest bridge in Southeast Asia.

6- Jubilee Parkway:

The Jubilee Parkway Bridge is a pair of parallel concrete bridges that connect different states of the United States. The bridge is about 12 km long and was opened in 1978.

7- Beijing Bridge:

The bridge is part of a massive Beijing-Shanghai expressway project. The length of this bridge is 48,158 meters.

8- Saturov Bridge:

The Russian city of Satarov has a bridge over the Volga River, which was the longest bridge in the region when it opened in 1965. The bridge is about 2,803 meters long and connects the town of Satarov on the west bank of the Volga River to the town of Engels on the east side of the river.

9- Aizhai Bridge:

The world's longest bridge to solve the traffic problem has been built in one of China's mountainous provinces at a cost of more than 170 million. The Aizhai Bridge was officially opened in March 2012 to solve the traffic problem; The length of this bridge is more than 1176 meters and its height reaches 336 meters.

10- Confederation Bridge:

Crossing this bridge in winter is a special and unique experience because it freezes completely in this season of the Northumberland Strait in Canada. The bridge is used to connect Brunswick County and Prince Edward Island, and in winter is called the "World's Longest Bridge on Ice".
