Would you believe this sculpture was a century old Acacia tree? It was planted by a Franciscan Priest on the churchyard of the "Paroquia de Tanay". Based on the tree diameter it was over a hundred years old. People around had so many memories of that tree so when a parish priest noticed that the Acacia tree stop growing leaves he called the expert to save the tree. Unfortunately it was dying already to prolong this monumental tree this where the artists comes in. Now standing a more than 13 foot tall sculpture where Lady of Guadalupe is standing before Saint Ildelfonsus de Toledo can be seen in the front of the church.
