Loud wailing of sirens and rushing firetrucks going south awoken me yesterday morning. Good thing nothing serious nor big fire happened nearby. All the noise were from the motorcade to set off public awareness March as the Fire Prevention Month. I remember when I was still young a fire broke out from one of the big factory near us. Luckily no one got hurt but the factory was totally burned down to ashes. The owners had a hard time to re-establish the business. Eventually the factory was closed down and the property was sold. Many were affected by this incident, residents who were dependent on their jobs instantly became jobless and small businesses around the area like carinderias and sari sari stores suffered, including ours. Lets all be cautious especially nowadays considering summer is not yet officially started. A single fire may affect greatly to our lives. As an old Filipino saying " Di bale na manakawan wag lang masunugan" (Its better your house be robbed or be on fire) *pic was drawn by my daughter when she was 6y/o. I think its looks more like an armor truck than a fire truck😁😆)
