Philippines National Symbols
Every country has its national symbols. The national symbol is representing nations and countries. The representation of its people, values, history, culture, and traditions. In this article, I will share some of our national symbol that represents our beloved country. National Flag
The National Flag of the Philippines is a rectangular flag with the color of royal blue and crimson red, with a white, equilateral triangle. In the core of the triangle is a golden-yellow sun with eight primary rays which represents Philippine provinces such as Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Morong, Laguna, Batangas, and Nueva Ecija. The three stars represent the three largest islands of the Philippines which are Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. An extraordinary aspect of this flag is when the nation is at war it's shown in the upside-down positions, the red was at the top and blue at the bottom. ***Sampaguita*** is the Philippines ' national flower and its scientific name was Jasminum sambac. It was chosen because of its fragrance and the role it plays when it comes to culture and traditions. The color of this white flower represents purity and simplicity. National Tree
***Narra*** was known to be the Philippines national tree because it symbolizes the strength of Filipinos in times of difficulties. It was made official by Governor-General Frank Murphy in 1934. National leaf
***Anahaw*** is the Philippines national leaf. Many things can be made of by this leaf. It can serve as the roof of Bahay-Kubo or nipa hut. You can also make fans, bags, and hats using this leaf. National Fruit
***Mango*** was fleshly, sweet, golden, delicious, and juicy fruit of the Philippines that can eat and served in many ways. You can make dessert using mango as the main ingredient. National Bird

***Carabao*** was the Philippines ' national animal that refers to the hard work and perseverance of Filipinos. It is also known as the farmer's best friend. National Fish
Philippines national fish was ***Bangus*** that ***is*** also known as ***milkfish***. It is known for its bonier and belly fat. It is widely available in the country that can be made in many different types of dishes. National House
***Bahay-Kubo*** or *nipa* hut *is* a humble shelter made from bamboo and *anahaw* leaves. It is most common in rural areas. National Gem
***Pearl*** was the Philippines National gem. The Philippines was known and entitled as the *Pearl of the Orient Seas* because of its natural beauty. National Sports
***Arnis*** is also known as Eskrima and Kali. This sport promotes weapon-based battle which is done using sticks and various improvised weapons. It also includes hand to hand fight, grasping, and weapon disarming methods. National Dance
Philippines national dance was ***Cariñosa***. Folk dance with Maria Clara suite that ***characterizes*** the shy behavior and manners of Filipina women. It is also known as the representation of courtship and affection through the dance. National Costume
***Barot saya*** is an elegant hybrid of Filipino and Spanish styles. Many symbols enhance the country and its people. It has a big role that influences socialization and the country to be known and recognized.
