EGYPTIAN LOCUST (anacridium aegyptium) Walking through the garden I saw something moving on my laurel bush. I decided to look and see a little friend, an Egyptian grasshopper. I had to photograph him right away because he was a nice quiet, set up bass for the photo. I don’t know if you knew but grasshoppers can jump up to 20 times their length with their big legs. Their bodies were narrow, their tentacles short and their eyes large, as seen in the photographs.
