Hello all! I've been using Atomic Wallet for some time and months ago I wanted to make a publication about the stake rewards. Today we have the opportunity to write about. That's nice, hand-at work! 🔨🧱
Besides the Atomic Wallet, I've been utilizing and testing other wallets and I intend to make a useful comparison between them, checking the positive and negative points of each of them. First of all, let's understand a little better how Atomic Wallet works.
Atomic wallet is a secure, decentralized, non-custodial wallet that supports a wide variety of cryptocurrencies as well as providing various features such as purchase crypto with FIAT, staking, internal exchanges, cashback, airdrops and many more. It is currently supported on the desktop version for Windows, macOS, Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora and on Android and iOS mobile phones. Let's look a little better below each feature:
How to buy cryptocurrency 💳💵
Buying crypto by credit card is a really simple and fast procedure. It is a quick (between 10 and 30 minutes) and convenient procedure, but it can incur higher fees depending on the amount you buy, always be aware of this detail so as not to waste all your money on fees.
First step:
After clicking the option in the side menu, you must enter which FIAT currency to use when buying and which cryptocurrency to buy.
Note: You will pay a 5% fee with a minimum of 10 EUR (or the corresponding amount in another currency).
Second step:
Now you must enter your credit card (VISA or Mastercard) information and then the billing address.
How to perform internal exchanges 💱
This is another very practical and convenient service that Atomic Wallet offers through its partners.
To be honest, I wasn't very pleased with the exchange I made through the third party service (I'll give more details in comparison with other wallets below).
First step:
It is similar to the crypto purchase procedure, but now you will choose the exchange pairs, always observing the minimum amount (example below 0.017 ETH) and also how much you will receive in the chosen currency (I always recommend to check before in a conversion calculator). If you joined the membership program that you can receive up to 1% cashback.
Note: the final value you will receive is subject to market fluctuations.
Second step:
It will also take a few minutes for the exchange to be processed and you will receive the balance in your wallet along with the transaction ID. If there are any problems with the transaction, as it is taking too long to process it, you can contact support to verify what happened.
Order History:
Here you can check all the history of the exchanges made by Atomic Wallet. There is one very important detail that I have never found at AtomicWallet is the fees charged on each transaction. This is a flaw that I believe they should fix, I will give more details in the comparison section.
How to stake assets
Currently, there has been a lot of talk about PoS (Proof of Stake), which I believe is something more sustainable and secure than PoW (Proof of Work). Without leaving the focus of the publication, let's understand how this option works in Atomic Wallet and how to receive income from this feature.
First step:
By clicking the "Staking" side button you will see this list of available assets for the stake. Of course, you will see that some options may be more advantageous and with more yearly yield. Below you can see BitTorrent (BTT) and Wink (WINK), these are airdrops that you receive monthly from Tron (TRX) staking. Now choose the asset you have the balance and intend to make the stake.
Note: be aware that some assets may lock their balance for a period of time, and it is not possible to withdraw them immediately if you need them. Check before performing the procedure.
Second step:
Now you will choose the baker that is of your interest to perform the procedure.
Success!
Now your balance will no longer appear in the wallet as it will be available in the staking balance.

Actually, for non-custodial wallets, the only extra security might be multi-signature feature. However, it’s mostly for advanced users and supported by bitcoin like assets only. So take care of your 12 words backup mostly and you will be safe!

After all this exhaustive but rewarding testing and research, I came to conclusions that I had expected. Atomic Wallet undoubtedly offers diverse and convenient services for the user and brings a good user experience. In comparison with its competitors, we realize that just like Atomic Wallet they are all reliable, because of this they are adopted by crypto holders. Nevertheless, we have found that Atomic Wallet offers a wider range of services such as crypto purchases, cashback programs, and airdrops.
