Hello all, I'm back!
After three days of buses, sun, no sleep, only bread to eat, and more sun, I'm finally back home and with a heart full of joy and pride because I was part of The World's Largest Orchestra, and it's my birthday also, so yey!!!
As far as I know, there were over twelve thousand musicians from all over the country giving the greatest gift we can give: our music. My heart was overwhelmed when the last note of Marche Slave sounded, it was the ending of the official attempt to break the record.
We won't know until a few days after they finish the official countdown and announce the results, but I'm confident that we got it, however, all that was seen on tv isn't even half of what truly went down although I can only tell the story from my side, due the fact that there were 23 states and 1 Capital District, so I can't speak for everybody.
That being said, I'll break it down into 4 parts, one article per day, from Thursday to Sunday.
Thursday, Nov. 11-Day 1.
We had to be in Caracas by 4 pm. To that effect, the delegations from within the state, my state, were on the road since very early in the morning to gather all delegations in my town which is the capital of the state. While we waited for the time to arrive at the gathering site, my sister had the idea of making a gift for my friend Jemi, a stuffed animal with her name tag to carry all over the event and take pictures with all of us, as a way to show her that she was with us at heart ❤️❤️
The buses from several municipalities broke on the way here, so we had a 4-hour delay so, at 4:30 pm was the time we were leaving my town.
It's a three-hour drive from my town and Caracas if you travel by bus, but not this time, we arrived at the Capital at 10 pm, again, the buses broke down several times on the road. Now, by that moment we didn't know where we were going to stay or eat. The latter was answered pretty quickly, National Center for Social Action by Music, but hey, we have to wait in line! There were about 120 buses in line picking up the food for their people, so we had to do some waiting.
By 11:30 pm we got our turn but no food came, and no information about lodging either. I took my sister and two friends to the bathroom because we are humans and also ladies so we can't pee wherever we want, and after that, I asked discreetly to a friend if he knew where they put us.
They send us to Los Teques. Please, don't have a panic attack, I already had one.
Los Teques is in another state and the road can be pretty risky if you don't know it well, and drive there, at that late hour, with the buses breaking down all the time, and with children on board was outrageous!
To calm us down, they gave us dinner, the first bread-meal from many to come, a Ham and Cheese sandwich with ketchup and mayo, and a juice box and some cookies. I ate only the cookies and drank the juice, the sandwich I gave away to one of the drivers.
With the lodging situation unsolved, the teachers of the first generation of musicians from El Sistema in my state demanded lodging within the borders of Caracas otherwise we would go back home. After some fighting and pressure from all of us, we got our fair lodging in Caracas, near the NCSAM and by 3:30 am, I was in my room.
No information about the activities of Friday was given until 4:00 am, when we got a text saying that we had to get up at 6:00 am and be ready by 7:00 am, so we only got two hours of rest after a long, long ride. The bright side is, we got a nice hotel!
Now it's Friday, haha the true journey begins...
Thank you all so much for the support! I got home really tired but couldn't wait to tell you about this!!
I'll be answering and leaving comments little by little to make up for lost time.

How good Rebe, I suppose the emotion despite the setbacks of the trip, how lucky you ended up in a good hotel. The last photo is impressive. Looking forward to the continuation and happy belated birthday!
