Jollibee in Korea? Why? or Why not! (Part 2)

I would like to share with you my group's final output in one of our subject last semester which was International Trade and Agreement. It was just an idea for the expansion of Jolllibee Foods Corporation in Seoul, South Korea.

Product Portfolio

In the company expansion of Jollibee to South Korea, we take into consideration the challenge that companies who venture abroad usually encounter, which is cultural differences. We want our korean customers to experience the joy brought by Jollibee's foods, but we will introduce Jollibee's menu to them by also integrating Korean foods with it.

In our product portfolio, we innovate Jollibee's products and added twist by integrating traditional Korean foods with them to suit Korean's taste more, while still keeping the original flavors of Jollibee's delicious menu.

Korean Soy Garlic Chicken Joy

The first product is Korean Soy Garlic Chicken Joy. Ganjang is the added ingredient which means soy garlic in Korean. We added this ingredient to our Jollibee's chicken Joy to bring a richer flavor on our menu in Seoul, South Korea's branch.

In our Seoul, South Korea Jollibee menu, the customers can choose if they want to pair the Korean Soy Garlic Chicken Joy with plain rice or kimchi fried rice.

Kimchi Fried Rice

Kimchi is one of the traditional food of Korea, it is always serves in their table. Kimchi is a spicy dish, the most popular of which is made from fermented cabbage. It helps add an extra kick to whatever else is on the menu.

So we come up with an idea to make a variation of kimchi fried rice with different toppings. And these are Kimchi fried rice with egg; Kimchi fried rice with Tofu and Kimchi; and Kim fried rice with Bulgogi which is a Korean classic marinated grilled beef.

Jolly Breakfast

Next, our Jolly breakfast meal is composed of Kimchi pancake. Kimchi pancake is also a Korean dish that Koreans usually prepare for a savory breakfast. We added sweetness to the usual salty crispy and chewy Kimchi pancake that Koreans prepare to bring the Jollibee's flavor with it. Kimchi pancake paired Jollibee's coffee or hot choco is perfect for our Korean customers light but satisfying breakfast.

Bingsoo Halo-Halo

For our last product, we bring the Filipino Halo-halo combined with the Korean's popular dessert, Bingsoo. The Korean Bingsoo is a dessert in Korea which is composed of shaved ice and flavoring. To bring the Filipino touch with it, we combined this korean dessert with the halo-halo ingredient like fruits and ube ice cream. The result of this dessert fusion is the delicious Jolly Bingsoo Halo-halo. Koreans will surely enjoy this cold dessert. Jolly Bingsoo Halo-halo is perfect for beating the summer heat or to cool off their mouth after eating a spicy meal.
