The rock pigeon (Columba livia), also known as the Asian rock pigeon, Asian domestic pigeon, or domestic pigeon, is a species of columbiform bird in the Columbidae family (pigeons, lovebirds and coquitas) native to southern Eurasia and North Africa. . In Colombia it is considered as exotic-invasive; the Columba genus is home to the so-called old world pigeons.
