i wanted to draw, but can't, so i looked through my medibang gallery and found many unfinished drawings and studies. this was one of them. last january, i had to take a pause from drawing but didn't want to lose my momentum. so i tried to take ten minutes every night to do portrait sketches on medibang. i tried to do it everyday, but lost the momentum and eventually stopped at around the 5 day mark, i believe. this sketch was from january 18th. there was this really nice…

i can only do throwbacks to my earlier drawings because i still can't draw at the moment. 🥲 this is a sketch practice from january on medibang, one i did of alice vink. she's seriously one of my favorite faces to draw. i mentioned this before, but there are faces that for me are just too difficult to capture. then there's alice vink... anyway, i'm glad there's hashtag feature now! i'm still not sure what kind of tags i'd go for especially when it came to sharing my drawings,…

this was literally my second attempt at digital portrait painting on medibang, drawn just a day after "diletta." i don't think i've shared this before, because i was attempting to re-draw it the same way i did "diletta" (see here: https://noise.cash/post/1mxgw5rj) but, of course, the re-drawing never got to see its end and it just lay there, sitting in my medibang gallery. i don't know when i'll be able to finish it, but i sure hope it's in the near future. :) my attempt…

i just never learn my lesson. just over a month after i wrecked my last work laptop by spilling coffee on it, i'm back to my old habit — drinking this caffeine-infused liquid while working. granted, i've set a side a different, smaller table where my drinks would sit, but given my clumsiness, anything can happen, and i'm not prepared to tell my bosses i spilled coffee on anything again. (doesn't stop me, though). i'm back to another busy month, and i barely get restful sleep…

hi artpark! it's been a while. i just found out, literally minutes ago, that last weekend's prompt was arthur leywin. ugh, a bummer, as i had a WIP sitting in my medibang since march. lol. and here it is, still a WIP, because... i have no drive to draw for now, on top of limited to no time to indulge in arts. 🥲 i still have hopes i'll finish this in the near future, though, except i shouldn't be fangirling over a 12-year-old this much. 😅 i hope everyone who joined had fun…

i'll be part of an artificial intelligence training next week, as... well... a panelist. while i do have experience in AI, it is limited to computer vision, and language processing is an alien concept still to me. i spent the last 2 months learning how AI for natural language processing works. and while i'm still not confident about the full extent of my knowledge and if i'd be able to teach well, i'm at least a bit prepared. at the moment, i'm still trying my best to code…

my day is very far from done, but i have at least survived over an hour of presenting. and to my surprise, a senpai in AI from work, who's also a panelist this week, sent me a DM and told me this. i'm ecstatic, and happy. tired, maybe a little embarrassed that i had to speak to a lot of people, but man, what an experience. 🧡

hi artpark! sharing this digital painting i did from five months ago. a friendly reminder to take a deep breath — something i feel i've been forgetting to do over the last few days. this drawing was actually inspired by many things, with anxiety at the forefront of the list. i felt it was interesting how sometimes even breathing feels like such a chore, like you're always neck-deep in the ocean. i hope those messages delivered through the illustration. :)

I thought it wasn't for me. It turned out it is; I just had to wait. I felt like I just had to write this down. It has been weighing on my mind for quite a short while, and articulating it in words might just help lighten what load my brain seemed to always carry. In my last entry, I said that for the first time, things didn't seem to go my way. I was so used to success that at the slightest sight of defeat, I crumbled. And when I thought I really wasn't having my way, I got…

what does your art journey look like? this is what mine looks like for now: https://youtu.be/2jc4nyvHukw. the drawing you see below is actually my first ever digital drawing. it was so bad, but i remember being so excited i made it. lmao. while i'm still unable to draw at the moment, i managed to find the time to compile my drawings from the last 10 years. some of these drawings include my ArtPark entries. :) there is something about looking back to old drawings that remind…

hi! guess who actually drew something last night! here's a portrait painting from last night that i believe took me around 2 hours. looking back to my old drawings motivated me so much and became that force that finally pushed me to pick up the pen again. i'll let you know of the pinterest link to the reference i used when i come across it again; i can find it anymore in my app. 😅 i guess i can finally join this week's emoji to OC challenge, given this renewed vigor?
