One of the things that i have never understood since moving to Poland is that as I go about my day to day life and talk about my muscial tastes as part of making "small talk" the biggest surprise I constantly encounter is the number of people who say "Oh yes, I used to listen to that when I was younger". And I am not talking about boy/girl bands or two minute popstars. Metal is as much to do with identity and individuality as it is the music and anybody who thinks otherwise ("I used to listen to Metallica / Slayer / Megadeth, etc") simply doesn't get it Metal is metal and if you get it, it will stay in your blood forever.
