Not shared on here for a few days so I thought it was high time I did. So today I want to describe to you my three seconds, across three different songs that defined the direction of my muscial taste forever before telling you which one i have to go with as number one. 1) WASP's infamous "Animal" song, (7" can I say that in this context lol) that second when the main riff kicks back in just after the first chorus. 2) My introduction to Metallica was Fight Fire with Fire, just after the acoustic intro when the distortion overrides it and then the riff kicks in. 3) Dio, Holy Diver Live B-side of We Rock (funnily enough it took me a long time to like We Rock - just too conventional - however Metal Allegience's cover is perfect). Again the start when it kicks it. So in the end I think I have to go with Metallica. First time i heard it, it was like a jolt of electricity as my brain flooded with What the F___ is coming. I wasnt disappointed. WASP falls short because it is a kind of reprise of the opening but for some reason as it comes off the chorus it seems even more impactful. Finally sorry Ronnie, my all time fav, but you did make my top three defining seconds
