There is something wrong with the world when the basic tenet of retail banking has become corrupted thanks to both banking mismanagement and the subsequent bailouts. Retail banking works on the principle that they use your money to fund their loans with a large differential on interest (usually for the "saver" none or very little). That is acceptable so long as the interest rate is inflation busting but all too often they have the cheek to charge you for using your money to drive their profits up. Morally reprehensible And that is why I choose crypto and to bank myself.
