With BabyRah around just managed quite an achievement When submitting a work to a publisher it is necessary to provide three documents - a covering letter - a synopsis - the manuscript In the space of about an hour I have been able to produce the synopsis and I am happy with how it drafted out, although the word limit was a bit of a challenge.

Good job 👍 What is covering letter?
In it I have to explain the themes and reasons for writing and my intentions behind the novel. I have to also cover the narrative choices I made and what motivated them - for example my preferred approach is the memoir and then I can easily untilise the inner voice. It is important that it is NOT a rehash of the synopsis
Interesting. It seems to me like they are making sure that the writing is really yours and you didn't just copy it from somewhere.
I think it probably is an element of it :D
