Ok so here is the answer one by one. In March 2002 I was passing through Macedonia and I entered the town of Tetovo just as the Macedonian army started an offensive to dislodge the rebels from the surrounding villages. I passed with about 5 metres of a thank that was firing live shells into the hills. When I was in my teens I visited and aquarium in Hunstanton in Norfolk and one of its features was / is a perspex tube taking the visitor under water. I shark swum directly up to me and then easily glided directly over my head - it was maybe only about 10 cm away from me. I have seen the queen - she was honoured enough to get within about 15 metres of me as she was passing by but I never stopped to say hi as she seemed rather busy.
