Here is another sample - from the following chapter - Valentine's Day - that I am going through to make sure it is consistent with what i've been writing over the last few days. _______ The door suddenly opened and Dominika appeared. She’d thrown on her light blue dressing gown and loosely belted it to hold it together. She’d curled her hair in on itself to form a bun on the back of her head and it looked like she’d done it hurriedly, just to get it out of her face. As always one rebellious lock had escaped her attention and was framing one side of her face and she only looked all the cuter for it. She was carrying a tray and she came over and as I shuffled into an upright position she placed it on my lap. My eyes were immediately drawn to a daffodil in a small vase, it was vibrant and yellow and much brighter than the wane light that was seeping through the window. Next to it was a steaming mug of coffee, almost as dark as chocolate and a plate with a stack of American style pancakes complete with maple syrup which was cascading down the sides in generous dollops. With her still leaning over me I took the weight of the tray and when she was sure I had it she quickly pecked me on the cheek. ‘Happy Valentine’s Darling. I love you more than my own life. _________ Nice?
