I am just thinking about the spam again. It's kind of like an annoying virus and I thought about the real world pandemic. To bring it under control lockdowns have been deemed necessary and so maybe what is happening now is just a kind of lockdown to deal with the "virus". It means in the short term many of us are under a more restrictive regime, but as with the pandemic restrictions will be relaxed when things are under better control
