Haven't given an update for a few days on how I am doing. So here goes. I am now pretty much moving around the flat without crutches and while it is still a hobble it is looking more like a walk with each passing day. For about 10 days now I have been using only one crutch and no longer need the second one which means my walking is looking more normal (more below :D ) Steps have become easier and when I am going up I now pretty much walk normally (alternating feet on alternating steps), only when I go down do I need to do one step and then bring my other foot level before carrying on, I am remaining firm and disciplined in my exercises. As i get stronger I am able to do more in the flat including for our little one - nowhere near enough yet but each day is a little more. Yesterday on one of my walks RED / PURPLE / LIGHT BLUE (for that part it was there and back again) I did about two thirds holding a single crutch but not using it. Thanks to being challenged by my mother in law. Last time I gave some feedback the red line (around my building was the maximum distance I had achieved, then i almost turned it into a figure of eight with the addition of the purple route.... ... and just about half an hour ago I managed to do the darker blue route and most of it without the use of a crutch. We had some snow yesterday so I think I can be forgiven for being sure on the bits that seemed a bit more treacherous So there we go #gettingstronger
