Congratulations. A few questions. One epoch contains 2016 blocks, so takes almost two weeks. Does this mean that the BCH can be transferred from the Bitcoin Cash network to Smart BCH network every 2 weeks? Or will it always be possible to transfer the BCH between the networks with the gateway? How will the gateway be implemented? Will it be a centralised website or open source code?
These are all extremely good questions. I don't think we have all the answers yet. The bridge isn't quite ready yet and they are being extra careful with the development.
Definitely. I think that the bridge will be a central component. When people transfer their BCH to the SmartBCH network, they need to be sure that the BCH is not lost and that they can always transfer it back. Is basically like the exchange between BTC and L-BTC, except that L-BTC is stupid and doesn't support solidity. It will definitely take a while before the exchanges support SmartBCH, so the gateway will have a central importance.
