    Open the abandoned tab and look closely for gray-colored text right below the link you clicked.

      It says "Abandoned: communities where the creator has left or where a moderator has not visited moderation queue for more than 7 days." I am the creator and I have not left. There was no moderation queue because no one has posted in this community. Still beats me.

        Ok so it sounded like if the moderator left the community unattended for 7 days. So even if the community is inactive it means it becomes abandoned? Seems a little unfair. Maybe it should be if the moderators leave it unattended imo.
