I got my cravings satisfied the other day. When I have cravings, usually it tied with my missing-home-feeling. I miss my mum. 😭 Putting that aside, I love this noodle dish popularly called 'pan mee'. I grew up associating this dish with different name. My mum who speaks Hakka called it 'men-foon-char-gok'. My dad who speaks Hokkien called it 'mee hoon kuey'. Now, most people called it 'pan mee', made from flat egg noodles, with its flavourful anchovies broth, ingredients are usually well-seasoned minced pork and vegetable and fried anchovies. Not forgetting the appetising chilli dipping sauce. I especially love this version of hand-torn type. You can still taste the egg flour. Slurp! Have a great Sunday!
