Early in Roberto de Mattei's history of Vatican II, he tells the magical story of how Pius XII repeatedly saw, in the Vatican gardens, Fatima's "dance of the sun" before & after defining the dogma of the Assumption. (1956) But he also interpreted it as a strong apocalyptic, end of Time, sign, more specifically--but, same difference--as I recall what I'd read of it, he knew it signified the Church's Apostasy.
