Today in history: In 1896, Henry Ford completes the Ford Quadricycle, his first gasoline-powered automobile, and gives it a successful test run. The success of the little vehicle led to the founding of the Henry Ford Company and then later the Ford Motor Company in 1903. Mr. Ford worked for Thomas Edison as chief engineer of the Edison light bulb plant in Detroit at the time. He actually started two different failed car companies before Ford Motor Co, The Detroit Automobile Co and The Henry Ford Co, which after bankruptcy was renamed Cadillac. #Historia
