In Phongsavan, many cafes and hostels display as souvenirs the American shells and bombs that were dropped on Laos during the "secret war. A total of 2 million tons of bombs were dropped. No one has been held accountable for these crimes because the U.S. can bomb anyone and get away with it. I was amazed at the carelessness of the Laotians who so easily forgot about their past and never thought about how many of their countrymen died in this undeclared war. Are you interested in the history of the world, or at least of your own country? Laos, Phongsavan, 2013.

I find it sad :( From the other hand, I can understand that things like that "attract" tourists, and people have to live... I stay in your phrase though, "...because the U.S. can bomb anyone and get away with it". So f@%@$@$g true!!!! :( As for the history, I am interested for my country's firstly and the world's of course, still when I'm seeing how we treat and forget our ancestors, make me sad... :(
