A pine cone I found on my walk. I have been reading about them. Their scales change according to the humidity. When it is warm and dry the scales open up to release the cones seeds. When it is cold or damp they close up. You can try an experiment yourselves to observe this by putting one in a bowl of water, then later taking it out and letting it dry.
