Image Source. https://www.pexels.com/photo/leafless-tree-growing-in-field-5968201/ *How else do we discuss this matter?* *Should we address it now or keep it for later?* *We have voiced our concerns, wasted our data* *These lots have used our heads as a ladder* *They share our resources and still use us as banter* *We called them to serve but they always falter* *They keep harvesting the land, yet they pour no water* *The land is crying foul like the heel haul cry of a donkey braying* *We are tired, we showed little efforts and less praying* *The child of the rich is scrambling for bread crumbs* *The daughter of a king is walking on barefoot* *The chiefs of the land are with titles but no influence* *The situation we have found ourselves as a nation* *This is a deep reality and never a notion* *Suffering and smiling, yet scared for our dear lives* *I weep for those who sacrificed for our country* *How they would be turning in their graves too* *How do we arrest this tide? What a shame* *Yes, it is shameful and that's the name* *We have no significance as a nation, just the fame* *Age without maturity, fame without relevance* *We should model strong economies and turn up our game* *There are so many who reap from the decadence of the system* *So they would never want things to get better* *And they are the ones at the helm of affairs of the country* *The system is corrupt and as you cut down one, another sprout* *We need to stop creating a better world for our children* *As it stands, that might be near impossible with this decadence* *But rather, let us build better children for our world* *They can go on and create the world we desire* *We have failed on all fronts and what a shame!* This Post First Appeared Here. https://steemit.com/hive-148441/@olawalium/what-a-shame Thank you for your time.
