How Did We Get Here?

Yes, I will tell you - greed* *When the power of love is little* *Compared to the love of power* *When consideration has been kicked to the curb* *Greed for power just to oppress* *Greed for more money, still to oppress* *Greed for more influence just to oppress* *You are proud because you have bread* *Have you forgotten someone owns a bakery?* *Remember, there is only one God and you are not Him* *You can have the whole world but what about your afterlife?* *Greed! How is has consumed so many hearts* *Turned even the kindest of person to a monster* *All for the love of power, influence and wealth* *As humans, as a Nation, this is how we got here* *If we care enough and share enough* *Don't you think the world would have enough?* *The world has enough of our every need* *But it is never enough for our greed* *Taking innocent lives all to prove a statement?* *Oppressing another just to boost your ego?* *Abusing your power because you feel you can get away with it?* *We have talked and looked for too long* *No one is fighting for us, so fight for yourself* *You must be living in a cocoon world of self-delusion* *If you ever think those at the helm of affairs care* *They don't care if the country burns* *With the loot, they have acquired by greed amidst bloodshed* *They can buy another country or create another one* *Now, we take the fight to the camp of our foes* *Enough of them standing on our toes* *Let the whole world hear of our woes* *We must put an end to this with every protest that goes* ​This Post First Appeared Here.​​​ https://hive.blog/hive-105727/@olawalium/2jvx7j-how-did-we-get-here Thank you for your time.
