One of the first ministries that we receive is that of managing our homes very well. A good home is built through wisdom. Charity or love begins from home so does every good work we want to take to the outside world. In the early church, one of the key characteristics required of would-be leaders was the ability to manage their homes effectively. If they did not have children who were obedient, how were they going to influence a whole congregation unto righteousness and good works? To manage the home well, both the wife and husband have to understand their respective roles and responsibilities and be committed to fulfilling their own part in ensuring the wellbeing of the home.
