AI Madness AI Slop A lot of AI madness is taking place, most of it is just slop with weird video and images generated for mindless fun. But some of it is actually harmful, and the bad actors are using it for scam and misinformation. But is it all that bad or there is some good to it. **Now before we go into pros and cons let's talk about what AI is and what it is not.** AI is a sort of a black box of patterns and models that try to mimic thinking. What AI is not a text predicting algorithm. *When someone say AI is just predicting the next set of words from the data it is trained on, that is just beyond wrong*. **AI is recognizing patterns and not predicting next word** It is like saying a Computer is just a calculator working with 1s and 0s AI Pros AI is shaping the world in many good ways from helping scientist speed up research to helping employee work faster. AI Cons Well all the slop, scams and misinformation; obviously. So the progress will continue But we should also be careful in how we interact with AI and the ever changing world. AI isn't inherently good or bad, it all depends on the people who are using it and how do they use it.
