Good evening. France Football has announced the list of contenders for the Ballon d'Or: Riyad Marez (Manchester City), Ngolo Kante (Chelsea), Erling Holand (Borussia D), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Mason Mount (Chelsea), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Gianluigi Donnarumma (Milan/PSG), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Nicolo Barella (Inter), Lionel Messi (Barcelona/PSG), Bruno Fernandes (MJ), Pedri (Barcelona), Luka Modric (Real Madrid), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Lautaro Martinez (Inter), Neymar (PSG), Simon Kjaer (Milan), Ruben Dias (Manchester City), Robert Lewandowski (Bayern), Jorginho (Chelsea), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Romelu Lukaku (Inter/Chelsea), Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus/IU), Gerard Moreno (Villarreal), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Luis Suárez (Atletico), Phil Foden (Manchester City). As you can see from this list, Chelsea and Manchester City have the most representation with 5 players each and PSG has 4 players. There are 30 contenders on the list. The winner will be decided on 29 November. It seems to me that Robert Lewandowski will get the golden ball for the second year in a row. Consistently high results and consistently high performance are the main criteria for the winner, and out of the whole list only Lewandowski fits. BUT THAT'S JUST MY OPINION.
