My godson turned 1! The easiest example of how quickly time passes is when you have kids, or have some kids around you, and one day they were born, and the next day they are already one! Aside my exaggeration, this time really passed fast for me, and I can't believe that little muffin is already one. He is the son of my best friend, and now godmother. The day that he was born was so hot, I still remember it. He was born on time, but he was a very tiny baby, because he was not gaining much in the last month of pregnancy. But luckily it was all good, and he was doing well, and everything was fine. The first time that I saw him I couldn't even hold him how little he was, and he was even smaller than that, as I didn't see him right away. And it didn't take him too long to become heavy and big, almost too big for me to hold him. I can predict now he will not take too long to be higher than me, as I am shot and his parents are high. But I am used to being mixed up with kids :D As he was born during the pandemic, it was a bit difficult to see him too often, and at the beginning I wanted to be more careful as he was a little baby. Now that things are different, we can see each other more, but they are moving to other location that is not so close. Also, we both live on 2 locations, so that is also hard to combine. But we will menage, specially that he is now bigger, I can play a lot more with him, then before. I am not so good with babies, don't know what to do with them, but toddlers and older, oh, we can have so much fun. He is a great little boy, and even as a baby he was so good, laughing almost all the time, that I didn't believe he ever cries, as I didn't see him cry.

They didn't make a big celebration for his birthday, and they were in another city, so I sent cake and balloons on the day of his birthday. For the present, I wanted to give him a trampoline, but everyone convinced me he is too little for that. I thought that would be such a cool gift, but guess it will wait have to wait some time. This time it will be something else. Children's toys are diverse these days, and you can find so many things, and almost anything that you can or cannot imagine. But the once I like the most are wooden toys, they are great for many reasons, they are long lasting, they will not brake as plastic ones, there are collections and you can combine them. There are some that are very good for developing many skills and they look nice. But I am not sure how much they are fun to kids, as they love colorful, loud things. Guess it depends from child to child, but I think wooden are better choice.
