Celebrating Easter with my family

Hello guys, I am back. I was not active a few days. I am still home, and I was just enjoying free time, time in the nature and time with my family. Even though prognoses weren't well for the weekend weather, weather was good then and since then also, despite prediction that there will be rain. On Saturday I was just home preparing things for Sunday and Easter celebration. I helped to make Russian salad and cake. On Sunday first we had breakfast at my home, with that part of the family, and then we went to the village for launch with my other grandparents, and aunt and uncle.

When ever we are in the village, we go for a walk in the woods with dogs, no matter what the weather is like. It was not different this time. Also, I spent time playing with dogs in the front yard. Beside my dog, there is my aunt's and uncle's dog, and also two dogs that live in the village with my grandparents. I really enjoy time with them because I am a huge dog lover, and I always imagined living with a pack of dogs.

For lunch, we had barbecue, but also a ton of other great food. Like young (baby, new) potatoes, few types of salad, cheese, homemade bread. And of course cake that we made the previous day for dessert, but also another cake with strawberry that my aunt made that day. In conclusion, a lot of amazing food.

Beside eggs that we brought, there were also eggs my aunt brought, and the one that my grandma made. As it turned out, my grandma had the best colored ones, because she likes to use internet to find ideas, and she made very artsy ones, I liked them the most. My aunt had beautiful pastel colors, also made natural way only.

I would like to tell you about custom on the Easter. On Friday we color eggs, and on Sunday we break them and eat them. But you don't just break and eat them, you need to compete with someone. So you chose egg, and your opponent do the same. You agree who hits first, and other person just hold their egg. First you hit with pointed side, and then with blunt side. Winner is the one that break the other egg. But sometimes, one egg brakes on one side, and the other on the other side, so you can use sides that have not braked to decide the winner. What winner gets? The loser's egg to eat. Since I like boiled eggs, I like this custom a lot, and I had quite a few eggs on Sunday and next days as well.

All in all, it was a lovely weekend and holiday and I enjoyed it, as well as the following days. There is another holiday coming up this weekend, but I will try to stay active and still post. Hope you had a great weekend as well.
