Shahjadpur is a traditional upazila of Bangladesh. During the British rule, this upazila had a munsef court and a jail. It is now a very important upazila of Sirajganj district. It is said that around 1250 AD, Prince Makhdum Shahdaula of Yemen in the Middle East had three nephews: (1) Khazakalin Danishmand, (2) Khwaja Nur, (3) Khwaja Anwar, their mother (sister of Mr. Makhdum) and some He set sail on a river with a large number of companions. He and his companions once reached the present Shahjadpur territory. When he started preaching Islam here, his war with the local Hindu king ended and he was martyred in that war. But the place was conquered by the Muslims. After the death of Makhdum Shahdaula, Islam was established here through the efforts of his companions. The land is named after Hazrat Makhdum Shahdaula, the heroic martyr of Yemen. Shahjadpur Thana was formed in 1845 and it was turned into an upazila in 1982. Shahjadpur Municipality was established on 20 October 1989. 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Collected . ✌✌
