In early February, Elon Musk’s carmaking company changed its short-term investment policy to allow it to invest an aggregate $1.5 billion in balance sheet cash in Bitcoin. MicroStrategy, headed by crypto uber-evangelist Michael Saylor, did the same, storing more than $1 billion of the business analytics’ firm’s reserve dollars in the cryptocurrency.
