Udon in Tokushima, JapanAs I wrote in my last blog, we tried to visit my mother's family home in Tokushima for the first time in decades, but the road to the family home had already returned to nature and we could not get to the house.👇This is the previous blog👇@mizuosemla/tokushima-my-second-home-in-japan-04092022 There is a paved road to the main house, but it would take about 45 minutes by car to get there, and it would be impossible to walk there. We decided to try to go up there even if it was not possible.As it turned out, I could not get to the main house, but I almost made it.　Although I had expected it, the forest and mountain paths were more back to nature than I had expected, and it was quite difficult to go up without proper hiking shoes.　Besides, I was reminded that I should make sure to pack water and a little food.　I gave up on the hike this time, but it made me want to go back some other time!My mother, aunt, and uncle were very pleased with the experience and thought it was worthwhile to give it a try anyway.　Besides, I had a very good memory with everyone again.　I am really glad that I came. #tokushima #japan #japanese #04092022
