Damage control As what I have said on my previous article, we are reselling some baked goods that was made by a friend of mine. Last week we received 30 orders of banana loaf which is our best seller.

But unfortunately 1 batch of this was not baked properly coz the oven shut down in the middle of baking but was not endorse to my friend by her daugther. Baking is only a hobby and sideline of my friend since she have a regular job with a work from home set up thats why she was able to do my orders. So when the orders was already distributed to our client, 8 of our customers told that the texture was different from our previous items, and one them is our regular customer who orders 2 pcs of loaf every week coz it became her favorite.

so I messaged my friend right away to raise my concern and thats the only time that her daugther told her that the oven malfunctioned. And ask for apology and offer to change all the loaf that has an issue. Since we are the one who are reselling the items of course we need to do the explanation and everything. Im glad that we was able to control whatever damage it may hit to the brand that we are selling. And Im also glad that our customers direct their concern to us and not to social media. As been in store operation that values customer satisfaction and provide customer service, it is imporant to satisfies your customer and everything that they paid either products or services. And its a must that you know how to handle such customer complains. Make sure that in case your customer encounter moment of mistery makes that moment, a moment of magic. Those who work in customer service knows what I mean. And it is important to acknowledge if there are mistake in your part. So far despite of what happened, those customer who received the loaf with issue order again from us 😊 . Here are orders for tomorrows delivery

Putting up a business is not easy, this is one of the reason why I decided to do reselling for the mean time instead of creating my own product. Coz you have to consider lot of things, specially if it is a food business. But of course I still dreaming to have my own product and my own brand. Thats all for now.
