I'm Michael and I haven't been on social media for a while.
After being annoyed with all the privacy violations and other issues with the mainstream social media platforms, I decided to simply delete all my accounts back in 2018.
A couple of weeks ago I wanted to see if I could find anything better now in 2021.
I signed up to a bunch of new platforms and although there are many more and better alternatives now, most of them seem to have more or less the same issues: Few users and not a whole lot of engagement.
That was until I came across noise.cash. Although I prefer to stick with decentralised platforms, I figured I could make an exception for noise.cash because of the BCH :D
If noise.cash were to become 'evil', there's always memo.cash, although that seem to have the issues I just mentioned above.
Noise.cash is what led me here to read.cash, and again, normally I would've dismissed it for being a centralised platform, but I like the BCH integration. In fact, I've decided to delete my Patreon and Ko-Fi and start to link to my read.cash instead. I never really liked Patreon and Ko-Fi as I'm not a fan of fiat currencies, so this is certainly a step in the right direction IMO.
I post music and videos to the Internet through my LBRY/Odysee channel. I've just put together a video about noise/read/memo.cash and a couple of other platforms. Feel free to check it out :)
Anyway, I plan to use read.cash to compliment my content on LBRY/Odysee, and when I have something to say that don't necessarily warrant a video, I'll make a stand-alone read.cash post about it.
See you around (งツ)ว
