Human beings need fluids in their diet. It provides in the necessary hydration and keeps healthy. One way to add water to the body is by drinking.

About 20-30% of what the body needs comes from food and 70 to 80% from beverages but this percentage differs from person to person.

Our body exists out of millions of cells and all of them contain water. This is water is used and must be replaced.

Drinks like: water, juices, fruits, and milk can be consumed to do so.

Water:

It's an essential element for life, without it we can't live. It is the best drink, but it must be drinkable.

It needs to be clean and not contaminated, it must be suitable for human consumption. It can be recommended to parents to boil water for their children to prevent diseases.

An individual should drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. Besides drinking, eating fruits, vegetables, and other food is a way to hydrate the body too.

This counts for both children and adults. We eliminate a part of the water we drink through the skin by sweating, through urinating and with the intestines when evacuating.

Juices:

Daily we can prepare them out of fruit and vegetables such as beets, tomatoes, and carrots. Fruit and vegetables provide us with many vitamins and minerals, this can include calcium, iron, and zinc.

The benefts of vegetables are:

  •  Low fat content, it provides few calories so they are ideal for weight control.

  • They fight diseases.

  •  Protection of the eyesight

  • They contain vitamins.

  • They stimulate growth.

    Fruits are tasty.

Especially as a juice. They refresh us and provide the body with vitamins A and C, sugar, fibers, and minerals. Creole fruits are more nutritious and cheaper in my country than those imported. Creole fruits: milky, mandarin, oranges, guava, pineapple, and melon.

The benefits of fruits:

  • High water content.

  •  Good for the immune system because they are rich in vitamin C.

  • They favor the growth in children.

  • They keep the skin healthy.

  • They help preserve vision.

  • They contribute to the proper functioning of the digestive system, avoiding constipation and intestinal diseases.

Fruits can be best eaten naturally. This way they contain more vitamins. They must be previously washed for consumption. When juicing, consume immediately after preparation, preferable without sugar to prevent tooth decay in children.

Parents should try to avoid obesity in their children. Another way to eat fruits is canned or canned in the form of meringues and compotes, so they stay in good condition for longer.

Keep in mind that raw fruits are healthier. Daily 2-3 portions of fruit are recommended.

Milk:

Some animals provide it to us mainly cows and goats. This is a complete food and can be served in fresh, liquid or powder form, it contains protein, calcium, phosphorous, vitamin D and sugar.

The benefits of milk are:

  • Strong bones and teeth.

  • A good condition of the muscles.

  • It helps good digestion.

  • Keeps the skin and eyes in good condition.

  • Provides the body with the minerals it needs.

  • Milk produces a lot of energy.

A child should drink at least three glasses of milk daily so that it can grow up healthy and strong.

Parents should consider to include the drinks required into the diet of their child(ren) and provide it with the necessary nutrients which are necessary for their growth and development.

Know that if a child doesn't like a drink, there is always another option to replace the vitamins, minerals and fluid the body needs.

This is informative. I appreciate those parents who make extra creative solutions for their little ones like designing food to make it look friendly and inviting.

Establish bonding time in making juices is a plus too :)
