The weekly battles are back and continue to focus on the new Chaos Legion cards, and this week it focuses on the Supply Runner. The Supply Runner name has been featured in other prominent games like Elder Scrolls and Magic The Gathering. The Supply Runner character in those games serves as a support function by buffing the team when it enters the battle. The Supply Runner in splinterlands is a versatile addition to the splinterlands ecosystem; decent stats across the board and new players will find it helpful even at level one. However, from level five onwards, it starts to up its usefulness and utility by acquiring the Swiftness ability and increasing its overall stats. I don't have enough of a high enough leveled Supply Runner to feature it in battle, and therefore I will be featuring another monster with the Swiftness ability, the Ruler of the Seas.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
On paper, my opponent would probably have me beat most of the times, but this battle went in my favor due to how variance works. I took a gamble by playing Ruler of the Seas in a Weak Magic ruleset, but I got lucky this time. The Kraken is an absolute beast of a tank and took most of the hits in battle, which allowed the Ruler of the Seas to do its thing. The speed buff and the additional damage dealt by the Blast ability procced by the Ruler of the Seas helped him pick off the backline opposition. Even though I took a risk, the high speed and high damage the Ruler of the Seas dealt was enough to clinch the victory in the end. A special mention to the Furious Chicken - when he entered position one and the Holy Protection ruleset procced, this was crucial as deflected damage, allowed the Ruler of the Seas to pick off the remainder of the opposition.
Do you like the Supply Runner? Why or why not?
The Supply Runner is a neutral splinter monster with decent stats and useful abilities as you level up. The market also seems to think it's pretty valuable due to its relatively high price at 15c per card. With these challenges, I always look around to see if there are cheaper alternatives, and Supply Runner is the most affordable range monster with the Swiftness ability. The other options are Lira the Dark and Naga Assassin, but those are much more expensive. A card I will be looking to acquire and upgrade soon!
