Road to Runi - Update 6 | Splinterlands #306 We started to see more and more information come out about the gameplay of the ****Land 1.5 release**** as the game mode has been released to the Mavs server for testing. From the recent ****town square****, there are bugs still being ironed out and there is a lot of feedback being taken into account from the community. There was also mention that once the Land 1.5 release is released, work will resume/continue on the Land 2.0 whitepaper and outline the future of the game. The team stressed that card value isn't one-size-fits-all; each card has its niche in the game, shaped by rules, leagues, and abilities. Older cards remain valuable within their contexts, and the splinterlands team is dedicated to preserving their worth through mechanisms like staking and new game modes. As someone who did a ****1k pack opening challenge for the Chaos Legion set****, and seeing the price of Chaos Legion continuing to decline in this ****500+ day**** ****crypto**** bear market, I hope the splinterlands team does divert dedicated attention and effort towards finding utility for the older sets. And with further delays to the ****Land 1.5 release****, the price of most splinterlands tokens and assets continue to take a hit. The price of DEC continues to suffer and slide further away from its peg, with its current price of $0.727 per 1000 DEC. No surprises here – the delayed ****release of Land 1.5**** and the non-activation of the flywheel will continue to put much pressure on the ****token**** price. Nonetheless, in the past week, we have continued to make progress in owning a ****Runi**** by adding 10k DEC to the fund. The original mint price for a Runi was $500 (0.38 ETH at the time) so these prices are still within its initial price.
