What is the Dogecoin? (Explained)

Dogecoin is a decentralized digital currency that allows peer-to-peer transactions very quickly, securely and at low cost. Dogecoin was created as a "joke" on 6th December 2013. Its purpose was to make fun of other cryptocurrencies which were somewhat frowned upon at the time. But things didn't go exactly as expected for Billy Markus, its founder. A month later, its market capitalisation had already reached $60 million. Dogecoin has the emblem of the popular Japanese dog Shiba Inu which is at the root of a dog's internet meme named "Doge." Therefore, this meme was chosen to refer to the popular terms "When moon?" or "When lambo?" that many crypto investors like to use. As you can see, the initial purpose of the Dogecoin was really to have a good laugh between friends. Why is Dogecoin so popular? It’s a meme coin and doesn’t take itself seriously. The dog is pretty cool.
