Most mathematics Youtube channels teach students how to use equations and formulas. I teach students how to come up with equations and formulas. This inspires independent and critical thinking and allows students to become mathematically creative. What if you could write your own equations and formulas to describe finance or geometric observations? Wouldn't that be more empowering than relying on other people's ideas?
