Humility in High Places
A rich couple boarded a plane. Seated comfortably in a business class, they tried to catch a sleep during a 12 hours flight from Los Angeles to Philippines. To the couples dismay their seats woudn't recline. They called the flight attendant. But no matter how much she tried, the seats refused to recline. Not willing to spend the rest of the flight uncomfortably, the couple ask to be seated elsewhere.
We have no more available seats in the business class, but there is only 1 seat available, perhaps one of you could transfer? the stewardess ask.
But the couple refused to be separated. It was either they transfer seats together or they disembark completely. This would mean an hours delay for the flight.
The stewardess was left with only one choice. She approach the passenger next on the vacant seat and respectfully whispered to him. The passenger then stood up and walked down the aisle.
Then the couple transferred and sit comfortably. The passenger that transferred is the CEO of that airline. We can marvel the humility of that man. Humble people in high places are rare breed.
