The Story of the Little Drop On a cloudy day, the little drop of our story was born behind a cloud. At that very moment, the dark cloud raised its voice with a loud rumble and said: “Hey, raindrops! It’s time to go down to the earth!” All the drops started running and jumping down from the big cloud. The little drop jumped too. It closed its eyes and said to itself: “I really wish I could land somewhere that’s the most beautiful place on earth…” When it opened its eyes, it found itself on a big, old bus. Sadly, it said: “Where is this? I don’t like it here… I don’t want to stay!” At that moment, the bus sped up, and the drop was thrown onto a sign by the street. The little drop looked around and shouted grumpily: “I don’t waaaant to be heeere!” It was sliding off the sign when it fell onto a bird’s wing. The bird soared up into the sky, but the little drop was still unhappy. The bird landed on a tree and gave its wings a little shake. With that shake, the little drop fell onto one of the tree’s leaves. When it saw the tree was full of insects, it got very scared and started crying. One of the insects, a ladybug, came close and asked: “Why are you crying, little one?” Through its sobs, the drop said: “I don’t want to be on this tree. I want to fall somewhere that’s more beautiful than anywhere else!” The kind ladybug said: “Little drop, this journey you’ve taken is your whole life. If you don’t enjoy it, your time will run out. It’s better to make good memories wherever you are and wherever you fall.” The little drop calmed down and said: “You’re right… I came to earth to bring freshness and beauty to every place I land.” The ladybug, happy with what the drop said, asked: “Do you want me to help you get down? But this time, promise me you’ll smile wherever you go!” The little drop agreed. The ladybug said: “One… two… three…!” And it slid the drop down… When the drop opened its eyes, it saw it had landed on the leaf of a rose. Right in front of it was the view of the sunset. The little drop of our story decided never to worry again about where it would go next. It would simply smile and be happy… wherever it was! 🌈
