Hi guys I'll be sharing some of my knowledge today I hope you learn something even just a little help thanks enjoy.
The death penalty was once the most common punishment for murder and other serious crimes. It has been abolished in more than half the world's countries
• 86 countries have abolished the death penalty for all crimes,
• 11 countries have abolished the death penalty for ordinary crimes, but keep it for exceptional crimes, such as treason and war crimes.
• 25 countries keep the death penalty in law, but have not carried out any executions for the past ten years or more.
• 74 other countries and territories officially have the death penalty, but fewer than 30 of these use it.
In September 2005 Liberia became the most recent country to abolish the death penalty, while 2 months later, in the USA, Kenneth Boyd became the 1,000th person executed since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1977. More than 35 per cent of all executions in the USA have been in the state of Texas.
Ways of execution
Methods used around the world include shooting (China, Vietnam), hanging (Iran,Singapore), beheading (Saudi Arabia), lethal injection and electric chair(USA).
That's all for today I hope you enjoy it thanks
Thank you for sharing but for me death penalty is not the right way to do it is because every criminal has the right to change for the better.,,,just sharing my opinion🙂
