He couldn't afford a computer, and then he became the "God of Design"

Every year, October 16 is marked as Steve Jobs Day. Yes, you read that right - in California, one of the three founders of Apple, and certainly the most controversial person of them, has his day. How did that come about?

Steve Jobs Day was established by the Governor of California, Jerry Brown, in memory of this great innovator. Steve Jobs passed away on October 5, 2011, and ten days later, Brown announced on his Twitter profile that a day in his honor would be celebrated in California.

Usually, every October 16 is a good opportunity to look back at the successes of Steve Jobs, both during his life and at what he left behind.

Steve Jobs grew up in San Francisco. He was born on February 24, 1955, and already when he was 10, he developed a fascination with electronics, probably working with his father (Steve was adopted).

At the age of 21, in 1976, Steve Jobs, along with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne, founded Apple. It is commonly thought that only Wozniak and Jobs founded Apple, and with good reason. Wayne gave up his stake in the company just two weeks later, selling it to Jobs and Wozniak for $ 800.

When the Apple II was introduced in 1977, it was a turning point in the way computers were used - they were mostly used for business purposes. This meant that people could have a computer for personal use from the comfort of their own home. It was, in fact, the first such computer to "experience" mass production.

The iPod was Apple's first device in use today, and was introduced, now almost a long time ago, in 2001. The interface and design, as with other products, were made under the direct supervision of Steve Jobs.

Although MP3 players were widely available at the time the iPod appeared, it was soon dominant in the market, thanks to both innovative design and features, and gained in popularity by symbiosis with the iTunes service.

No matter what anyone thinks of it, the iPhone is definitely Apple's flagship. The 12th generation has been introduced recently, and since 2007, iPhones have been a special class, so it often happens that there is fiery controversy among users in the technological world.

Time magazine named him "Invention of the Year" for 2007, and Jobs, introducing the first iPhone, said that "the phone is no longer just a means of communication, but a way of life."

The introduction of the tablet, called the iPad in 2010, meant that Apple further strengthened its position in the market. The fact that the iPad sold more than 15 million copies in its first year speaks volumes about how successful they were.

Steve Jobs was not the world's greatest electronics expert - the field in which he was the strongest was design and innovation. Because of that, many still consider him one of the greatest minds of design and innovation in the world of technology.

"Steve Wozniak and I made Apple because we wanted to have our own computers. Not only could we not afford the computers that were on the market at the time, but they were not at all practical to us," Jobs said on one occasion.

Jobs was with Apple on several occasions, from 1976-1985. year and from 1997-2011. years, or until death. In the break between the two "terms" in Jabuka, in 1985 he founded the company NeXT. Inc. which produced computers, and in 1986 The Graphics Group, which would later grow into one of the largest animation studios, Pixar.

What do you think, did Steve Jobs deserve to be celebrated in his honor in California, or is it excessive?

I didn’t know they had established a day dedicated to him. It is certain that he owed them a lot.
