This is what misinformation looks like. This is from the Brave Browser website. Pay close attention to all the red stuff under Safari. To the average user, this would look bad but it's not as simple as that. - Invasive Ads: Ads aren't blocked in Safari but their payloads are. - Cross-site trackers blocked: Safari doesn't do this in-browser, macOS and iOS however do. Because Safari is tied into the system it inherits this functionality at an OS level. Brave CANNOT do this on ANY platform. - Finger-printing blocked: Once again not within the browser but as a system-wide function. - Malware / Phishing blocking: Once again not within the browser but as a system-wide function. - No IP addresses collected: Once again a system feature. With iCloud's Private Relay there is no need for a 3rd party system. - Anonymized network routing (Tor mode): Once again a system feature. With iCloud's Private Relay there is no need for a 3rd party system. So Safari is actually better than Brave in many respects because it is faster (Chrome is slow and Brave uses Chrome). Safari has system-level access to a bunch of stuff that Brave needs 3rd party tools for. 3rd Party tools actually make Brave LESS secure because they are not controlled by Brave. Don't get me wrong, Brave is an awesome browser but DON'T spread misinformation in order to make you sound better than others.
