Woohoo, today marks the start of things calming down at work. I didn't get the branch manager's job but I'm actually glad about that. I'm not really management material. I'm kind of a "get things done" kind of guy. #work #management #calm

Been waiting an hour to tip you on this. Working in business consultancy I know what you are talking about and for me very often is the number 2 person. the one who actually makes things happen and deals with pragmatics and actually delivers. Then the leader / manager can be free to focus on what they should be doing. For many years in several organisations I have been a number 2, I can do the number 1 thing too but I find being a number 2 more rewarding and less stressful Win-Win :D
