Hello, what Bulgarians need to know, wherever they are in the world. The monument to Khan Asparuh, a great Bulgarian ruler, founder of Danube Bulgaria in 680-681 in the town of Isperih - Bulgaria. The monumental composition was unveiled on 16 October 1981 on the occasion of the 1300th anniversary of the founding of Bulgaria. It is the work of an author's collective with the participation of sculptor Vladimir Tsvetkov and architect Stoyko Donchev. The sculptor has recreated the Founder as a shrewd ruler who achieved an alliance between Proto-Bulgarians and Slavs. The pedestrian alleys, whose seven rays lead to the monument of Khan Isperikh, symbolize the seven Slavic tribes flowing into the Bulgarian state.
